This is what a new HollywoodLife insider shared with the news outlet, revealing what was the last straw that convinced Kim there was nothing else that she could have done to save their union.

It turns out that the one thing she could not get over was the fact that Kanye West refused to get help for his bipolar disorder.

It’s a well known fact that the rapper goes through pretty bad episodes because he often refuses to take his meds.

His reported argument has been that the pills he needs for his mental health stifle his creativity!

The insider shared that ‘Kim and Kanye had met with lawyers. She felt like she tried everything to make their marriage work and Kanye was refusing to get help which was the final straw. She and Kris even tried to get him to go to counselling and offered him support as best as she could and he kept refusing.’

As a result, Kim saw no future with Kanye at his worst and handed him the divorce papers after living separate lives for months!

‘They knew this was coming. No one was blindsided. For her, it has always been about working through financials more than the kids. She has just been trying to gauge how they can work on this to make it a seamless transition and make sure he is going to mentally be in that space in all the decisions to make together over their kids,’ the source added.

At the end of the day, Kim knows that this is the best decision for the whole family.

She only wants the best for Kanye as well since she still loves him but the main goal was to eliminate any drama from their young ones’ lives so divorce was inevitable.
