Kate Middleton news: In ‘tears’ before Prince William wedding over dress

However, the details of the dress were sadly leaked before the wedding.

This included the fact Kate’s dress was designed by British fashion house Alexander McQueen, headed up by creative lead Sarah Burton.

The Times published the reports ahead of time, stating: “A fashion source said that the dress will be a combination of Middleton’s own design ideas and Burton’s deep knowledge and understanding of high fashion.”

Royal biographer and journalist Katie Nicholl said on Channel 5 documentary, Secrets of the Royal Dressmakers: “Behind the scenes, I think that caused tears at the Palace because Kate had done everything she could to keep the wedding dress a secret.”
