1. Star Wars will get 10 spinoff series, including one starring Donald Glover

Following the success of The Mandalorian, which featured fan favourite Baby Yoda, more Star Wars spinoffs are being added to Disney+.

These include series starring droids C-3PO and R2-D2, as well as smuggler Lando Calrissian, played by Donald Glover – also known as rapper Childish Gambino.

Hayden Christensen will return as Darth Vader in Kenobi, based on Jedi master Obi-Wan Kenobi.

Two Mandalorian spinoff series, called The Rangers of the New Republic and Ahsoka, are also in the works.

3. Chadwick Boseman will not be recast in the Black Panther sequel

The late actor died in August of colon cancer at the age of 43.

Up until now, it was not clear how Disney bosses would go ahead with the next instalment of the Oscar-nominated superhero film.

But they have now confirmed the new Marvel feature will honour its lead actor’s legacy by continuing to “explore the world of Wakanda and all of the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film”.
