Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall were carrying out engagements in Glasgow as the Duke and Duchess of Rothesay as they are known in Scotland. All eyes were on Camilla who looked elegant in her silk dress, despite its unusual print.

The royal couple wrote on their Instagram page Clarence House saying: “Today The Duke and The Duchess of Rothesay carried out engagements in Glasgow.

“This morning Their Royal Highnesses toured Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum to celebrate its 120th anniversary.

“Kelvingrove Museum in Glasgow was founded as the last great museum of the Victorian era and in 1902 opened as Glasgow’s civic art gallery and museum.

“The Duke then visited the Govan Home and Education Link Project (Govan HELP) to hear how it supports families with young children in the Govan area.

“Working closely with local schools, Govan HELP equips families with the skills and resources needed to resolve issues in the home before they reach crisis-point, offering services including family support, play therapy, befriending, and adult counselling.”

The royal couple were given a tour of the gallery and museum, which reopened in 2006 after being closed for refurbishment.

Camilla wore a silk feather print dress by Fiona Clare for the occasion, which featured long sleeves and a sophisticated shirt style collar.

The Duchess paired the dress with nude heels and a blue and red patterned face mask, which perfectly complimented the colours in her feathered dress.

She wore her hair in her usual bouffant style with her fringe slightly parted in the centre.

Camilla also appeared to be wearing lashes of gold jewellery, on her necklace and bracelets on each wrist.

The couple were greeted by the Lord-Lieutenant of Glasgow on their arrival.

They went on to meet museum staff, members of the Cop26 team and members of the Cabinet Office Cop26 team during their visit.

Prince Charles also met students from the Glasgow School of Art, while Camilla went to see the Natural History Collection and met children from Hillhead Primary who were holding a model of an albatross.

One royal fan wrote on Instagram saying: “I’m so enamoured by Camilla!”

Another added: “Thank you for posting these photos of the lovely couple.”

Camilla has been carrying out lots of royal engagements as of late and has been looking very stylish while doing so. Last week, the Duchess hosted an engagement in order to meet young women who have been supported by The Prince’s Trust at Clarence House as part of the Big Breakfast campaign.

Looking lovely in blue, Camilla chose to wear a statement dress for the special event, accessorising with a matching cardigan in a similar shade. The royal wore her hair in her signature bouffant style and sported natural makeup, perfectly complimenting her colourful outfit.

The Brilliant Breakfast is an annual fundraising event for The Prince’s Trust, aiming to raise funds to help develop the confidence and skills of young women needed to secure jobs or start their own businesses.

The royal couple shared some more information on their Twitter page about their royal engagements today.

They wrote: “The Govan Home and Education Link Project (Govan HELP) supports families with young children in the Govan area. The Duke of Rothesay heard about the difference the project makes to the lives of people in Glasgow during his visit today.”

Speaking on the museum, the royal couple said: “By the time of its closure for restoration in 2003 it was established as the most visited museum and art gallery outside of London. The Duchess chats to children who are learning about endangered species as part of the Gallery’s outreach programme.”
